Role Description

The Personal Lines Internal Sales & Retention Specialist is responsible for renewing and expanding client relationships within the Personal Lines department. This role focuses on retention, cross-selling, and managing internal sales opportunities to support growth and client satisfaction.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time, fully remote position that supports our clients’ activities in our Jacksonville, Florida office.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Client Retention: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients through proactive communication and timely service.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to offer additional personal lines coverages and close sales with existing clients.
  • Renewal Management: Lead the remarketing and renewal process to ensure clients receive competitive and appropriate coverage.
  • Sales Queue Oversight: Monitor and manage the internal Personal Lines sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and processing.
  • Policy Servicing: Process endorsements, updates, and follow-ups accurately and efficiently.
  • Underwriting Compliance: Review applications and renewals for adherence to carrier guidelines.
  • Lead Generation: Support internal marketing campaigns and outreach efforts to drive new business.
  • Carrier & Market Updates: Stay informed on changes in carrier guidelines, quoting procedures, and market conditions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with account managers, producers, and agency leadership to meet service and sales goals.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in CE courses and maintain up-to-date knowledge of personal lines insurance products and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Licensing: Active Florida 2-20 or 20-44 Insurance License required.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in customer service, account management, or insurance sales, specifically in Personal Lines.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Florida’s personal insurance market and core coverages (e.g., home, auto, umbrella).
  • Systems Proficiency: Skilled in CRM platforms, agency management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Client Service: Strong relationship-building and client communication skills.
  • Sales Mindset: Comfortable discussing coverage options and closing additional policies with existing clients.
  • Organization: Able to manage multiple tasks, follow through, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem Solving: Solutions-oriented with the ability to resolve client concerns effectively.
  • Professionalism: Adheres to confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions.

Compensation range

A starting base salary in the $45,000 to $55,000 range, depending on the candidate's experience. This position is also eligible for additional incentive compensation that is performance-based.

The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work.
