• Following patient accounts through the insurance payors to ensure proper reimbursement • Review insurance denials to take appropriate action for payment • Appeal claims that have been denied for no auth, medical necessity, etc. • Verify receipt of claims with insurance to ensure timeliness of reimbursement • Reduce accounts receivable of insurance balances • Communicate with payors through phone calls, emails, and portals • Process written correspondence from insurance payors • Identify and trend reasons for claim denials • Resolve discrepancies reported by patients and other departments
