Role Description

GAI is seeking a Transmission Project Manager 2 to join our Power Delivery team in the role of Program Manager. This position will report to the Transmission Line Group Manager in our Power Delivery Engineering Business Sector in GAI’s Power Business Unit. Required skills include:

This position will be responsible for:

  • Coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of projects in alignment with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the company
  • Client-focused leadership with highly developed communication, project management, and presentation skills
  • Facilitating client teams and assisting with leading teams in developing scope of work bid documents and project schedules
  • Collaborating with the Manager of Engineering for this program
  • Managing a program of 100+ projects and $5,000,000+ annual revenue

Qualifications

  • 12+ Years of Experience
  • B.S. or M.S. Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, reciprocity in multiple states (preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred)

Requirements

  • Knowledge of electric utility transmission line engineering and design
  • Knowledge of project management skills and uses of intermediate practices to increase productivity, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Effective communication with clients, management, peers, and subordinates
  • Expertise in developing project schedules, cost budgets, and understanding and analysis of financial data
  • Mastery of intermediate to advanced project management financial concepts
  • Experience with Deltek required
  • Understanding of software needed to perform duties, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite applications
