Role Description
We are seeking a results-driven National Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with our largest strategic restaurant chain customers. This role is responsible for developing account strategies, increasing revenue, and ensuring long-term customer success. The ideal candidate has strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Preference to candidates that currently reside in the Southeast or Midwest region of the United States.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Identify opportunities to expand the product portfolio within existing customers while pursuing new customer opportunities to drive business growth.
- Monitor account performance and provide regular updates on key metrics, forecasts, and market trends.
- Communicate customer needs internally to evaluate profitability, operational capability, and capacity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop and deliver solutions that meet customer requirements and drive business growth.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders at assigned accounts through collaboration, networking, participation in industry associations and trade shows, and regular sales engagement.
- Conduct periodic business reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction, evaluate performance, and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with key decision-makers.
- Develop and implement strategies that drive business growth while ensuring sustainable and profitable long-term partnerships.
- When necessary, work with the Field sales managers in planning and implementing an effective pull-through program.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in foodservice sales to national restaurant chain accounts (Quick Service, Fast Casual or Casual Dining).
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, and innovative, with a strong drive to achieve results.
- Strong analytical and account planning skills.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ideal location: Southeast or Midwest region of the U.S.
