Role Description

As a Renewals Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless contract renewals that drive customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth. You will manage the full renewal lifecycle for assigned accounts, from identifying opportunities to negotiation and close, while collaborating closely with Customer Success and Account Management teams. This role also involves identifying upsell opportunities, such as licensing adjustments or value-based solutions, to expand account value.

  • Manage the end-to-end renewal process for assigned accounts or territories, ensuring timely execution and alignment with customer needs.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Account Management to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Track renewal milestones, follow up on key dates, and escalate risks as needed to ensure smooth execution.
  • Support contract negotiations and align terms with both customer and business objectives.
  • Identify and pursue upsell opportunities, such as licensing true-ups, to increase account value.
  • Use data and insights to inform value-driven conversations and contribute to accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and channel teams to deliver a seamless partner and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in Renewals, Customer Success, Sales Support, or related SaaS role.
  • Understanding of customer lifecycle management, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and SaaS sales processes; experience with Gainsight is a plus.
  • Foundational skills in negotiation, upselling, and objection handling, with a growth mindset.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with SaaS products and services, with the ability to support forecasting and reporting.
  • Motivated, adaptable, curious, and collaborative in approach.
