Role Description
This senior leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence and portfolio performance across corporate programs focused on volunteer engagement and consulting initiatives. The Vice President, Corporate Programs will translate strategic priorities into scalable, repeatable execution, ensuring high-quality delivery, margin protection, and cross-functional alignment. You will partner with development, finance, and global network teams to implement systems, tools, and processes that maximize revenue and impact. This role also serves as an external-facing leader, supporting business development, complex client pitches, and strategic relationship management. Ideal candidates will have deep expertise in corporate social impact, employee volunteerism, and portfolio management, along with strong financial acumen and executive presence. You will lead and mentor teams, optimize operations, and contribute to thought leadership within the organization and industry.
- Translate strategic priorities into operational plans, driving day-to-day portfolio health across Activation and Consulting & Insights.
- Oversee KPIs including revenue, margin, delivery quality, and partner satisfaction; lead portfolio reviews and capacity planning.
- Manage annual operating budgets, quarterly reforecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with Finance.
- Support business development by ensuring operational feasibility of complex, multi-year corporate engagements and pitches.
- Serve as an executive escalation point for partner or program issues, mitigating risks that affect satisfaction, renewals, or profitability.
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, building a culture of accountability, high performance, and succession readiness.
- Standardize operational processes, playbooks, and tools to ensure consistent, high-quality program delivery.
- Represent the organization externally with corporate clients, prospects, and global affiliates to advance programs and partnerships.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate programs, program management, consulting, or related fields; nonprofit and corporate partnership experience preferred.
- Proven ownership of portfolio-level performance, including P&L or margin accountability, revenue forecasting, and capacity planning.
- Demonstrated experience structuring and closing multi-year, revenue-generating corporate engagements.
- Track record managing enterprise-level corporate accounts with multi-stakeholder scope.
- Strong financial acumen, budgeting, and experience partnering with Development or Sales teams for business growth.
- Expertise in corporate social impact, employee volunteerism, and community engagement strategy.
- Exceptional communication and executive presence; ability to influence internal and external senior stakeholders.
- Experienced in team leadership, coaching, and scaling high-performing teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CRM (Salesforce), project management tools (Asana), and analytics/visualization tools is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally travel overnight (10-15%).
