Job Description

Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber, data operations, systems integration and intelligence mission support services to meet our customers’ most demanding challenges. Our capabilities include cyber space operations, cyber defense and resiliency, vulnerability research, ubiquitous technical surveillance, data intelligence, lifecycle mission enablement, and software modernization. Nightwing brings disruptive technologies, agility, and competitive offerings to customers in the intelligence community, defense, civil, and commercial markets.

Nightwing is a leading intelligence services company dedicated to advancing national security and global stability. Operating in a highly dynamic and mission-critical environment, we rely on disciplined financial operations and strong cross-functional coordination to support our programs and customers. Nightwing is committed to building a team of exceptional professionals dedicated to supporting national security and mission success.

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead enterprise coordination and issue resolution across Nightwing’s procure-to-pay operations. This role will strengthen financial accuracy, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the integrity of key financial processes that support the business.

Why This Role Matters

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of Nightwing’s financial operations. By improving invoice resolution, strengthening internal controls, and enhancing coordination across Finance and Supply Chain functions, this role directly supports accurate financial reporting, program execution, and effective cash management across the enterprise.

Scope of the Role

The Procure-to-Pay Operations Lead serves as the enterprise focal point for monitoring process performance, resolving complex invoice and payment issues, and driving continuous improvement across procure-to-pay operations.

The role partners closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Timekeeping, Accounts Payable, and Treasury teams to ensure efficient end-to-end processing and accurate expense recognition.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies across the enterprise

  • Monitor procure-to-pay process performance and address operational bottlenecks

  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices processed in Costpoint

  • Implement procedures to support timely and accurate expense recognition, including period-end accruals

  • Drive operational improvements that enhance internal controls, efficiency, and financial transparency

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will establish a strong understanding of Nightwing’s procure-to-pay operations and develop effective working relationships across Finance, Supply Chain, Timekeeping, Accounts Payable, and Treasury. By proactively identifying and addressing invoice and payment discrepancies, the individual will reduce processing delays and improve the overall reliability of the payment cycle.

Success in this role will also involve improving visibility into procure-to-pay performance through enhanced monitoring and reporting, enabling leadership to more effectively identify risks and operational bottlenecks. Through close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, the candidate will implement practical process improvements and internal controls that strengthen coordination, improve efficiency, and support the timely and accurate recognition of expenses across the enterprise.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in procure-to-pay operations, financial reporting, and government contracting environments.  Key capabilities include:

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience identifying and resolving financial, operational, or system issues impacting disbursements

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate large data sets into actionable insights

  • A process improvement mindset focused on automation, controls, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in finance, procurement operations, or program finance

  • Experience working in a government contracting environment

  • Advanced Excel proficiency

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with close attention to detail

At Nightwing, we value collaboration and teamwork. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals who are passionate about what they do. Together, we’ll leverage our collective expertise to drive innovation, solve complex problems, and deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Thank you for considering joining us as we embark on this new journey and shape the future of cybersecurity and intelligence together as part of the Nightwing team.
