We are actively hiring Remote Patient Advocates to support patients, providers, and care teams nationwide. If you have healthcare experience — or strong customer service and administrative skills with a desire to make a difference — this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Remote Patient Advocate, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping them understand their care options, coordinate services, and resolve questions or concerns. This role combines customer support, healthcare coordination, and administrative assistance in a fully remote environment. You will work independently from home while collaborating with healthcare professionals and care teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary contact for patients via phone and secure messaging
- Help patients understand healthcare processes, benefits, and next steps
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups
- Verify insurance eligibility and assist with referrals
- Document interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems
- Assist with prior authorizations and prescription requests
- Obtain and organize medical records and supporting documentation
- Escalate complex concerns to appropriate departments
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of experience in healthcare, call center, customer service, or administrative support preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is helpful
- Comfortable using computers, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently
- Healthcare certification is a plus but not required. Paid training provided.
