Job Description
Role Description
This 15-20 hour per week ($20 per hour), 10-week remote internship will support the work of Thomas Edison State University’s Office of Learning Outcomes (OLO) under the supervision of the Assistant Vice Provost for Learning Assessment. The OLO is responsible for all institution- and program-level learning outcomes at TESU, from approval to curriculum mapping and assessment. OLO works with TESU’s five schools to facilitate assessment and continuous improvement for all degree programs as well as managing TESU's robust institutional assessment program, providing actionable data to stakeholders across the university. In this position, the intern will gain experience in institutional and program outcomes development, curriculum mapping, data analysis, reporting, and project management.
By the end of the internship, the intern will have met the following learning objectives:
- Gain an understanding of the relationship and alignment between higher education programs, courses, assessments, and outcomes
- Acquire skills in data analysis, reporting, and data visualization
- Develop skills in project management
- Receive an introduction to higher education academic administration as a career
Responsibilities, duties, and projects:
- Data entry and analysis related to program-level learning outcomes assessment projects
- Audit and confirmation of learning outcomes and curriculum mapping for named degree programs
- Reporting and data visualization of institutional assessment results
- Work with Assistant Director of Learning Assessment to establish Outcomes Assessment Project schedule for next academic year
- Other projects and duties as assigned

- Recent NJ college graduate: must have graduated less than one year prior to start of the internship experience (May 2025-May 2026 graduates)
