Job Description
NOTE: This is a remotely-based position. CRS will only consider candidates who are based in countries where we have existing offices within the EMECA region. CRS does not sponsor visas for telecommuting employees.
Job Summary
The Regional Financial Analyst II supports the financial operations of CRS by preparing analysis reports, analyzing financial data, and directly supporting a regional portfolio with financial analysis projects.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
- Prepares detailed financial analysis, identifies trends and variances, conducts financial-related analyses, and makes informed recommendations based on financial data.
- Conducts monthly review of actual financial performance against budget and ensures that projections and monthly reports are accurate.
- Consolidates and maintain the overall financial health analysis of the countries in assigned region.
- Supports the development of proposal budgets for assigned counties.
- Supports country offices in implementing internal and external audit corrective action plans.
- Assists in special projects and analyses to resolve accounting reconciliations, complex financial practices or new grant setup within the region.
- Conducts periodic support visits to assigned countries.
- Supports the onboarding process for Finance staff across the region.
- Provides training and capacity building for finance and program staff on financial management, policies, and procedures.
- Contributes to Global Finance initiatives to improve financial reporting tools, job aids, and ERP finance functionality.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of U.S. Government and major non-USG donors funding regulations.
- Demonstrated familiarity with GAAP and proven general knowledge of Fund Accounting
- Excellent analytical and strong problem-solving skills, ability to communicate financial information clearly, detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to present complex financial information in a succinct and compelling manner.
- Flexible work attitude. The ability to work productively in a team environment or independently and the ability to meet unexpected demands.
- Strong Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, various accounting software, and email/internet software.

Travel: Must be willing and able to travel up to 40%
