Job Description

• Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to close-out, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing various commercial agreements. • Ensure all contractual terms and conditions are adhered to, minimizing risks and fostering beneficial relationships with all involved parties. • Collaborate with internal departments, including Legal, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Project Management, to ensure contract terms meet business requirements and objectives. • Conduct meticulous review of legal and financial documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, legal frameworks, and industry regulations. • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with customers, vendors, and partners to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining positive relationships. • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential contractual risks, providing proactive solutions and recommendations to stakeholders. • Monitor contract performance, key deadlines, and obligations, implementing amendments, extensions, or renewals as necessary. • Maintain accurate and organized records of all contract correspondence, documentation, and data. • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on contract-related matters and best practices. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes and templates.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in contract management, procurement, or a related commercial role.
  • Familiarity with BESS business models and contracts; preference for candidates with 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Battery Energy storage systems (BESS)
  • Large Scale Electric Power / Utility projects
  • Li-ion battery-related projects
  • Strong understanding of contract law principles and commercial terms.
  • Proven negotiation and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, JD).
  • Experience with specific industry-related contracts.
