Job Description
We are seeking a Jr Corporate Counsel - Employment & Labour to join our growing global Legal team. This role will support day-to-day employment and labor matters across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with internal stakeholders to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, this position will focus primarily on routine and recurring employment matters, with guidance and escalation support on more complex or higher-risk issues.
This role will collaborate regularly with colleagues and business partners across North America, EMEA, LATAM and APAC.
What You’ll Do
Employment & Labor Support (Primary Focus):

Provide day-to-day legal support on a range of employment and labor matters globally, including employee relations questions, performance management issues, disciplinary actions, leave-related inquiries, and policy interpretation.

Serve as a first point of contact for routine employment matters, escalating complex, novel, or high-risk issues as appropriate.

Draft, review, and update employment-related documents, including offer letters, employment agreements, amendments, and internal policies.

Assist with tracking and summarizing employment law developments in key jurisdictions, working with outside counsel as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with People/HR and other internal stakeholders to deliver timely, practical legal guidance aligned with business needs.

Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders across geographies and time zones.
Employment-Adjacent & Broader Legal Support:

Support employment-related aspects of broader corporate initiatives, such as reorganizations, workforce changes, and M&A-related activities, under the direction of the Deputy General Counsel.

Assist with employment compliance initiatives and internal projects aimed at improving processes and consistency.

Provide limited support on employment-adjacent legal matters (e.g., contractor arrangements, IP considerations in employment, or internal governance support) as directed.
Process & Team Support:

Help maintain employment law templates, guidance documents, and internal playbooks.

Coordinate with external counsel in various jurisdictions for localized advice, as needed.
