- Classify goods (general, not expert) and possess knowledge of basic Customs Brokerage regulations.
- Directly manage designated accounts: engage with customers and ALBA’s network as the primary developer of relationships. Become a trusted advisor and the customer’s voice within our firm.
- Create and maintain key account strategies: define strategic approaches through solutions, internal/external positions on RFQs and RFPs; partner with departments to deliver best-in-class service and competitive pricing.
- Identify new opportunities: expand business scope and solutions with designated customers, create a sizeable pipeline, and maintain a high closing ratio.
- Create and present targeted Business Reviews: update client strategies, priorities, and business strategy while introducing new ideas and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate technological aptitude: understand and share key technology offerings (BI, Mesur.io, online tracking).
- Collaborate effectively with other Key Account Managers.
- Monitor monthly performance reports: volume, profitability, and pipeline, ensuring immediate actions in case of deviations.
- Customs Brokerage License required.
- 5+ years of supply chain industry experience in new business sales, account management, or operations in a 3PL, freight forwarder, or other relevant logistics provider scenario.
- In-depth knowledge of international supply chain and experience with clients on a national and/or global scale.
- Account management experience within various verticals: Beverage, Food/Perishables, Fashion Apparel/Accessories, Chemical/Raw Materials, and Hi-Tech/Semiconductor.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to engage clients on company technology.
- Experience with end-to-end logistics processes and solutions.
- Multi-lingual a plus (Spanish or Mandarin/Cantonese).
