Job Description
Department: Business Development
Reports to: SVP, Business Development
Location: Remote, USA
Libsyn (Liberated Syndication) is an industry-leading, independent podcast hosting and advertising platform that empowers podcasters to share their voices with the world. Founded in 2004, we’re dedicated to simplifying the podcasting process - from publishing to distribution and monetization to measurement - enabling creators to connect with audiences on all major platforms while monetizing their efforts. Through our advertising services and technology, we’re reshaping how advertisers reach their target customers by connecting brands with their desired audience.
This role owns the relationship once the deal is done. You are the trusted partner to creators and networks after they choose Libsyn. You make sure clients are successful, retained, growing, and heard internally. You act as the bridge between customers and product, translating real-world creator needs into real product improvements.
Client Ownership, Retention & Growth
- Own post-sale relationships with creators, networks, and hosting clients.
- Drive client retention through proactive outreach, strategic guidance, and problem-solving.
- Identify natural expansion opportunities, without turning the relationship into a constant sales pitch.
- Ensure creators are fully onboarded and actually successful on the platform.
- Help clients optimize workflows, distribution, and monetization capabilities.
- Liaise when things get complex, sensitive, or strategic.
- Serve as the primary feedback loop between customers and Product/Engineering.
- Translate customer pain points into clear, actionable product feedback and priorities.
- Advocate internally for creator needs, bugs, improvements, and roadmap influence.
- Work closely with Hosting, Product, Engineering, and Support to resolve client issues fast.
- Partner with Sales when expansion makes sense, but never at the expense of trust.
- Experience in customer success, account management, partnerships, or post-sale client roles.
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms, creator tools, or media/podcast ecosystems.
- Strong judgment, communication skills, and ability to manage executive-level relationships.
- Experience with enterprise or network-level podcast clients.
- High retention rates and strong customer health scores.
- Clients view you as a strategic partner, not a vendor rep.
- Product roadmap is visibly influenced by real customer needs.
- Competitive compensation (base salary plus bonus).
- Comprehensive health benefits, with employer-paid dental and vision coverage.
- 401(k) plan to help you build towards your future.
- Flexible working arrangements, including remote options.
- Generous paid time off and support for maintaining work-life balance.
