Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Accounting Manager. The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and monitoring and analyzing financial data. Daily tasks will include performing journal entries, managing fixed assets, and preparing financial reports. Additionally, the Senior Accounting Manager will collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate financial records and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Perform month close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Daily cash flow monitoring and reporting
- Work cross-functionally to help create and facilitate efficient processes that focus on accounting compliance
- Investigate and analyze means to improve profitability
- Review and process payments using A/P software
- Assist in planning and forecasting activities with business partners to achieve business and company goals
- Review financial reports
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in using accounting software and tools
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Business or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of month-end close accrual process
- Experience in analyzing financial data and creating financial charts and graphs
- Experience in conducting account reconciliations of A/P, bank and credit cards
- Experience in processing A/P of at least 50 invoices per week
- Experience in preparing financial statements and performing journal entries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- CPA or relevant certification
- Experience with Ramp, Quickbooks, and TriNet
- Experience working inside a start-up environment, ideally 5+ years
