Position Summary:      

 The Practicum Coordinator for the Men’s & Women’s Sara Schenirer/Wurzweiler School of Social Work MSW Programs is responsible for the operational management of student field placements and supervision logistics. This role serves as a critical bridge between students, clinical supervisors, and program planners to ensure all practicum requirements are met. The Coordinator manages the technical infrastructure (Canvas and Sonia), oversees adjunct faculty financial tracking, and provides high-level administrative support to practicum leadership. This individual must be a strategic thinker who maintains the "Practicum Playbook," develops SOPs, and utilizes AI and automations to streamline complex placement data. 

Reports To: * Director of Women’s Practicum (SS/WSSW Program) 

  • Associate Director of Men’s Practicum (SS/WSSW Program) 

Schedule & Location: Monday–Friday. Remote-Eligible. Consistent with program needs, requires a high level of autonomy and self-management. This position is remote-eligible. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Placement Management: Identify students requiring supervision through regular communication with planners; assign students to appropriate supervisors and notify all parties of assignments. 
  • Operational Tracking: Prepare and maintain confirmed placement sheets and adjunct salary sheets for all practicum supervisors to ensure accurate and timely processing. 
  • Technical Administration & Records: Manage and maintain comprehensive student and agency records within the Sonia system; set up, publish, and audit Canvas shells twice per semester to track student assignment completion. 
  • Administrative Support & Logistics: Manage the professional inboxes and calendars for Practicum Directors; set up student meetings and organize the "back-end" logistics for orientations (documents, presentations, and agenda coordination). Attend WSSW and SS/WSSW Faculty Meetings (remote) and Practicum meetings. 
  • Communication & Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for planners and supervisors; troubleshoot Canvas and Sonia issues; distribute welcome letters, affiliation agreements for new agencies, and the master practicum calendar. 
  • Academic Support: Schedule and organize practicum seminars for students; set up and manage due dates for all practicum assignments; provide ongoing troubleshooting for students and supervisors. 
  • Structural Innovation & AI: Actively participate in administrative meetings to improve program structure; dedicated to learning and implementing AI and automations to increase efficiency in placement tracking and communication. 
  • Strategic Documentation: Maintain and update the "Practicum Playbook" and SOPs to ensure all placement processes are documented, consistent, and scalable. 

Experience & Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma required, two years of college preferred
  • A minimum of five years of high-level administrative or operations experience is required

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic Systems Thinking: Ability to manage complex, multi-layered data across different platforms (Canvas, Sonia, Excel)
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite; expert-level ability to learn and manage specialized database systems (Sonia) and LMS (Canvas)
  • Innovation Mindset: A proactive interest in applying AI and automation to administrative and data-heavy workflows
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; ability to maintain alignment between multiple teams and leadership
  • Community Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the Haredi Community and its specific needs within a social work practicum context
  • Key Contacts & Independence: This role operates with a high degree of independence. The Coordinator must be proactive in ensuring that all teams (Planners, Supervisors, and Leadership) are on the same page and that issues are addressed before they escalate

Salary Range:

 $66,300 - $68,000
