Job Description
- Lead technical studies and ensure clients receive high-quality, on-time deliverables
- Provide technical oversight and interdisciplinary team oversight
- Provide quality control for all deliverables and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Train and mentor staff and actively engage in professional development
- Interface with clients and external stakeholders
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations affecting CRM and general industry trends
- Oversee field investigations of proposed project sites to assess or evaluate resources or the potential for resources
- Direct collection, analysis, and interpretation of data; formulate recommendations and solutions to highly complex problems or those involving risk
- SOI-Qualified in one or more New England states (advanced degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a closely related field)
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience leading projects in New England including 4+ years of experience managing survey, testing, and data recovery projects
- Comprehensive understanding of legal framework of CRM with excellent understanding of NRHP criteria and application to the region
- Demonstratable report writing experience including technical reports, treatment plans, and comprehensive data recovery reports
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including experience preparing deliverables on schedule using report templates and style guides
- Valid driver’s license
- Familiarity with GPR, and other remote sensing techniques and Geographic Information Systems
- Experience managing a lab including artifact analysis, developing and implementing laboratory policies and procedures, and communicating results and findings to relevant parties
- Experience with SHPO contracts and project execution.
