Job Description

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and job cost accounting. • Work closely with FP&A, Billing Operations and Purchasing ensuring financials data properly flows through our ERP correctly and providing various analysis to multiple levels of the organization. • Manage and maintain Work-in-Process (WIP) schedules, including revenue recognition and job profitability analysis. • Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliation management and compliance. • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting. • Monitor job costing, project margins, and contract accounting for construction projects. • Develop and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies. • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and ERP consultants. • Lead the annual audit and tax preparation process. • Oversee the sales tax reporting process. • Be the ERP Subject Matter Expert with Sedona ERP general ledger, table set-ups, process flow and reporting. • Support purchase accounting and integration of new acquisitions. • Provide financial insights and analysis to executive leadership to support operational and strategic decisions. • Manage and mentor accounting staff.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction accounting.
  • Strong experience with Work-in-Process (WIP) reporting and percentage-of-completion accounting.
  • Prior experience in public accounting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and construction industry financial practices.
  • Experience with construction accounting or ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with executive leadership and operational teams.
