The ideal candidate will leverage their creative, production and technical expertise to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within Eyeline, Netflix and 3rd Party partners, ensuring that our teams can both meet today’s needs while building out capabilities for the future. This role is about supporting the Virtual Production teams at the team and workflow level, directing the Virtual Production Supervisors to succeed in their client-facing roles. This candidate thrives in problem-solving, building solutions collaboratively, and managing complex work streams in a fast-paced environment involving multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

- Partner with Eyeline Labs and Netflix DSE teams on the transformation of theoretical research in the Virtual Production space into practical, robust production tools and workflows, ensuring they are scalable and effective in a production environment.
- Work across teams at Eyeline VFX and Studios to ensure that their Virtual Production needs are being met, from pre-production assets to final pixel deliverables.
- Guide global Virtual Production technology integrations and software development with the goal of achieving global technological consistency while leaving room for bespoke in-region processes and team dynamics.
- Serve as a brand ambassador and a key representative of Eyeline's identity, speaking at industry events, conferences and in media interactions.
- Partner with Eyeline VFX leadership to transfer relevant learnings and execute shared business goals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and creative methodologies, integrating cutting-edge techniques into the company's projects to maintain a competitive edge.
- Design innovative content creation approaches that utilize current and in-development technologies to test limitations, prove out feasibility and validate operational efficiencies.
- Partner with the technology innovation teams to plan and execute development projects within Eyeline Studios and Netflix. Communicate clearly as a product owner/stakeholder to identify the priorities for the Virtual Production teams.
- Serve as a mentor to talented teams of artists and technicians, guiding them to reach their fullest potential.
- Collaborate closely with HR, TA and FP&A teams for all department hiring and employee management.
- Partner with Netflix Creative Innovation team on initiatives such as the Creators Program.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a leader in VFX/Virtual Production overseeing complex titles and production teams at the highest level.
- Deep understanding of traditional VFX workflows as well as a history of pioneering non-traditional, “bleeding edge” tools such as volumetric capture and generative techniques.
- Ability to communicate with high profile directors and cinematographers, taking complex visions and stories and translating them into production techniques.
- Strong track record of successfully leading and managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities with the ability to engage and inspire diverse teams across a broad range of stakeholders.
- High level of adaptability, creativity and problem-solving skills to navigate a fast-paced and evolving industry.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and results-driven attitude.
- Process-focused but comfortable with ambiguity and able to work with minimal oversight.
Requirements
- $270,000 - $390,000 a year. This salary range is specific to applicants applying to our position in Los Angeles, California.
- To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary outside of this range and will also be dependent on your location.
