Role Description
In this position you will play a critical role in delivering enterprise-level initiatives by bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions. This individual will lead efforts to understand, analyze, and document complex business requirements and ensure that they are translated into high-quality technical solutions. The Business Systems Analyst partners with cross-functional stakeholders and IT teams to influence solution design, manage stakeholder expectations, and guide business analysis practices on large-scale, cross-team initiatives. This includes understanding the impact of proposed solutions holistically, developing use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to the IT team, and contributing a business or process perspective during design reviews. You will be responsible for delivering various project related artifacts throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. You will assist the Software Quality Team to ensure that documented requirements can be easily translated into test cases and ensure that the testing process covers all identified scenarios. You will assist in the triaging defects and bugs related to assigned projects in a timely manner considering project timelines.
This position is not available to residents of California.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the analysis, documentation, and refinement of business requirements for high-impact, complex initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between the Business, Architecture, Development and Testing teams throughout the project life cycle.
- Identify, assess, and document business requirements, recommending business priorities, and advising business on options, risks, and costs.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and other functional documentation.
- Collaborate with solution architects and development teams to ensure business needs are reflected in technical designs.
- Work closely with Agile teams and business stakeholders to ensure all scenarios are properly tested, defects are resolved, and the delivered solution meets business expectations and quality standards.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of both business operations and IT systems, with an ability to translate between the two domains.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to assess and articulate the impact of business decisions across organizational departments.
- Comfortability in operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
- Proven experience in Agile environments and working within cross-functional teams.
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Must have the ability to easily assimilate information and learn new applications and processes.
- Must have the ability to analyze complex system requirements and present findings to both internal and external stakeholders in a simple and comprehensible manner.
- Must understand the defect management and resolution process.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider a high school diploma with 5+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in business analysis, preferably in large-scale or enterprise environments.
- Must have experience operating in Agile SDLC. Knowledge of Waterfall is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office tools like MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Good experience and knowledge of process flow charting tools, such as LucidChart.
- Prior knowledge/hands-on experience using JIRA and Confluence, preferred.
- Prior experience with Salesforce Platform is preferred.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Work extended hours when necessary.
- Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods.
- Regular use of office equipment such as a computer/laptop and monitor computer screens.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
