Role Description

The American Heart Association has an opportunity for a Sr. Program Lead, Professional Education, Cardiovascular-Kidney Metabolic Health in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas. This position can be home-based.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, grant-funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on June 30, 2028, with the potential of extension.

The Senior Program Lead is responsible for driving the successful completion of assigned projects by leading teams to:

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects.
  • Supervise Program Development Managers to drive deliverables.
  • Ensure educational initiatives are delivered on time, within specified cost, quality, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the health care provider educational initiative within an Association-wide cross-functional initiative.
  • Develop and implement educational activities focusing on alignment with initiative goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and provide training to Program Manager staff to drive educational initiatives deliverables.
  • Perform project management duties in collaboration with colleagues and staff.
  • Provide updates and reports to Lifelong Learning / OSO staff, consultants, volunteers, and Sr. Leadership on project status.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external staff, management, volunteers, and consultants for assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of meaningful work experience.
  • Experience within Continuing Medical Education.
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Project management or equivalent experience, with the ability to plan and monitor projects from inception through completion.
  • Experience working across departments to manage day-to-day workflow.
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations and communication flow.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments, meet multiple deadlines, and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Functional multi-program computer skills; strong project management tool skills.
  • 10% approximate time of overnight travel.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Expected pay range will be $84,400 to $113,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials may apply.
