Job Description
Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a rapidly growing government contractor that provides strategic IT services that meet mission needs for Defense and Federal customers. We are hiring a Windows Systems/Application Administrator for an exciting remote opportunity.
Job Description and Responsibilities
Provides application administration and technical support for Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications supporting the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO). Responsible for installing, testing, deploying, configuring, debugging, updating, and patching enterprise applications while serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all supported systems. Monitors and maintains application performance, performs event logging, and supports security logging tools that integrate with approved systems. Provides application administration across Windows, Linux, and Unix environments, troubleshoots technical issues, and responds to user inquiries. Manages and sustains application-side operations to support DTMO mission-critical systems and development activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
- Knowledge of enterprise application administration, including installation, configuration, testing, deployment, patching, and maintenance of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) systems.
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems and the ability to manage and troubleshoot applications hosted in multi-platform environments.
- Knowledge of application monitoring, event logging, and security logging tools used to capture and analyze system and security events.
- Skill in troubleshooting application performance issues, diagnosing system errors, and providing technical support to resolve user and system inquiries.
- Ability to manage and sustain application operations supporting mission-critical systems

Minimum Training, Education, and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Five (5) years experience
- Specific Experience with:
- Windows administration
- Development & Maintenance of technical docs (network diagrams, SOPs, ports & protocols), white papers, briefings, presentations, technical/functional user documentation, and business process flows.
- Governance boards (documentation, reviewing change requests, performing impact assessments)
- Incident Management
- Disaster recovery/COOP (including tests/exercises)
- SaaS, PaaS, cloud platforms
- Experience with DoD Travel systems and DMDC also desired
Minimum Clearance
- Top Secret
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand, walk and sit; communicate verbally both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
