Job Description

AVER is a fast-growing SDVOSB that has achieved significant revenue growth over the past 5 plus years with much of our work focused on Data Analytics, Mission Support, IT Modernization and Biometrics. AVER is seeking an experienced PMO Analyst to perform Risk Management, Project Schedule Management, and overall PMO activities in support of a Financial System Modernization effort with DHS to update a legacy custom financial management system transitioning to SAP ERP solution. Responsibilities Include:  
  • Manage multiple PMO project initiatives from beginning to end
  • Update, and maintain projects and schedule tasks in MS Project based on Work Breakdown Structure across workstreams and external stakeholders
  • Manage and update with the Technical Team Leads to determine their critical tasks, identify milestones, and associate interdependencies across the program 
  • Prepare project and program status reports across all workstreams 
  • Conduct and facilitate weekly schedule reviews with program team 
  • Actively monitor program performance metrics by providing independent assessments of performance issues to upper management 
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control of internal and external products  
  • Maintain the Risks, Action Items, and Decisions (RAID) Log with bi-weekly reviews with the Government
  • Work with workstreams and Government Leads in collecting and analyzing items in the RAID Log
  • Maintain all vendor deliverables in a Knowledge Management system  
  • Track status of all internal and external products as they are drafted, reviewed, approved, and archived
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or business)
Experience Requirements:   
  • Experience with managing projects from beginning to end
  • Ability to provide status tracking for senior leaders
  • Experience with updating and maintaining complex Government project/ PMO schedule 
  • Ability to determine Critical Path and provide status update
  • Experience with Risk Management and managing a RAID Log or Risk Register  
  • Experience in leading requirements gathering, requirements analysis, and understanding the end work product 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Visio is preferred 
  • Ability to handle efficiently and effectively multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines 
  • Ability to lead initiatives and projects from beginning to end without much supervision
  • Ability to identify risk and to coordinate schedule Risk Assessments 
Desired Requirements:  
  • Familiarity with DHS Contracting environment 
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies 
  • Experience on large-scale development projects
