WHAT YOU’LL DO  

The Transformation Division ensures TNTP’s work evolves alongside the shifting needs of students and the systems that serve them. We collaborate across teams to elevate student success---by strengthening core services, incubating breakthrough approaches to accelerate learning and scaling promising models that dramatically improve learner outcomes on the national stage. Grounded in the science of learning and guided by the realities students face today, we translate research into action, challenge outdated measures of success, and design solutions that create opportunities for learners today and into the future. Our charge is not incremental improvement, but bold, catalytic transformation---shaping education and adjacent systems to come together to unlock academic, social, and economic mobility for all learners.

The Partner, Impact is a critical leader at TNTP – managing a team that is focused on operationalizing TNTP’s measurement framework for impact; facilitating an internal evaluation, service codification, and redesign strategy; and cultivating internal and external relationships that support continuous learning and improvement.

Key responsibilities include leading:   

TNTP’s Measurement Framework:

  • Champion and manage the organization’s North Star measurement framework for setting and tracking measurable goals for TNTP’s client-facing work that aligns with TNTP’s strategic priorities and external service delivery model.

  • Create a continuous project goals cycle that collects, updates, and analyzes project goals data throughout and across fiscal year time spans.

  • Ensure rigorous and consistent goal setting and data collection processes across teams and projects, with clear metrics and outcomes for success, to enable actionable and accurate reporting.

  • Provide advisory support, resources, and tools that support TNTP’s client-facing teams in integrating measurement into their work.

  • Examine cross-sectional and longitudinal project data linked to client-facing services to facilitate continuous improvement, learning, and impact cycles that inform leadership teams’ decision-making.

  • Create impact reports and data dashboards to provide real-time insights into TNTP’s progress against organizational and divisional goals.

  • Support and build capacity for staff on the use of dashboards, reports, and tools to make data-driven divisions, track progress, and adjust their work as needed to ensure that we increase our influence and impact.

Service Evaluation, Codification, & Redesign:

  • Support the internal evaluation of TNTP services to systematically study current practice; identify consistent design and implementation patterns; and clarify conditions for standardized &/or nuanced approaches to service delivery.  

  • Secure internal and external partnerships and opportunities to fund service evaluation and redesign efforts, with a focus on scaling rigorous measurement

  • Lead the validation of outcomes from client-facing work to maintain TNTP’s internal evidence bank that catalogs service models, frameworks, and tools with field-based examples of impact.

  • Produce replicable service blueprints, planning tools, implementation guides, and evidence-informed briefs &/or case studies.

Sustainability and Business Development

  • Building and executing a revenue-generation strategy aligned to our strategic priorities and demand in the field.

  • Building a strong network of external stakeholders and partnerships to help promote TNTP’s services and brand and to aid in business development.

  • Building an understanding of the services TNTP offers aligned to our strategic plan in order to talk to current and prospective clients and funders about our work.

  • Listening and being responsive to the needs of current and prospective clients and funders to design services that best meet the needs of our learners and clients. Motivating and influencing in the sales process aligned to best practices in the field to maximize impact.

Organizational and Team Leadership:

  • Collaborate as a member of organization and division management teams to shape staff experience, organizational learning, and the fiscal health of the division.

  • Collaborate with divisions across the organization to optimize technology integration, strategic growth opportunities, and thought leadership.

  • Manage a diverse team and building an inclusive culture – utilizing excellent management and people development skills - to ensure that your team reaches its ambitious goals.

  • Ensure that staff have a positive experience aligned with our Employee Value Proposition.

  • Support and build capacity for TNTP staff on best practices for data collection, analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:  

  • Proven experience in leadership roles within education reform, preferably within PK-12 settings.

  • Strong understanding of social and economic mobility factors, particularly those impacting a young person’s PK12 experiences and achievements and their postsecondary opportunities and outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative services and resources that address systemic barriers in education.

  • Proven ability to design, implement, and scale frameworks, processes, or systems for new and emerging areas of work, driving innovation, organizational growth, and sustainability.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including influencing senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Data-driven mindset, with experience using research and analytics to guide decision-making.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to TNTP’s mission and values, particularly around equity and improving educational opportunities for all students.

  • Advanced degree in education, public policy, or related field (preferred)

  • Experience leading large-scale change initiatives and transformation projects (preferred)

  • Familiarity with targeted universalism and other frameworks for achieving equity in education (preferred)

WHAT WE OFFER

The salary range for this position is $154,800 - $232,200. New hires can typically expect a starting salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint ($154,800-$193,500), in alignment with experience, qualifications, and our commitment to equity in compensation.
