Job Description

Shipping & handling responsibilities

  • Program Ownership: Lead the operational lifecycle of our Rating Variance Programs. You will own the health of the automated "detection-to-resolution" workflow, ensuring the team hits turnaround times for root cause analysis and financial recovery.
  • Technical Bridge: Serve as the primary operational partner for Product and Engineering. You will work with engineering to translate complex carrier API behaviors and technical defects into actionable business cases for our carrier partners and technical requirements for our R&D teams.
  • Rating Integrity & Launch Readiness: Support ownership of a "Pre-launch Onboarding" process for all hosted carrier contracts. You are the final gatekeeper ensuring that rates, surcharges, and credentials are configured correctly to prevent financial leakage before labels are generated. You will work in close collaboration with Partnerships, Reconciliation, Data, and Revenue Operations teams.
  • International Rate Management: Lead the tactical execution and program design for international price updates. You will drive initiatives to automate the ingestion of global rate changes, improving process design to reduce lead times and ensure 100% accuracy across diverse currency and surcharge structures.
  • SOP & Process Design: Move the team from "ad-hoc heroics" to repeatable processes. You will help build/refine the operational playbooks for carrier onboarding, annual price changes, and dispute management, providing functional mentorship to the Specialist team to ensure high-velocity execution.
  • Operational Quality Control: Oversee the team’s root cause and solution output. You will review high-dollar variances and ensure the team repeatably hits target KPIs, maintains carrier SLAs, and helps to identify trends that require systemic product or engineering fixes.

Your shipping requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in technical operations or logistics, with a focus on carrier management or billing systems. Program Management background is a plus.
  • Advanced Data Proficiency: Proficiency with SQL and analytic platforms is preferred. You should be comfortable monitoring dashboards and auditing automated data flows.
  • Operational Mindset: You enjoy taking complex, ambiguous problems and building a streamlined, documented process to solve them at scale.
  • Logistics SME: Deep understanding of the parcel industry's rating logic, including zones, weight tiers, and the technical nuances of carrier-to-platform billing.
  • Technical Communication: Exceptional ability to "translate" between technical and non-technical stakeholders—navigating a deep-dive with an Engineer in the morning and an operational sync with a Carrier Partner in the afternoon.
  • Bias for Action: You thrive in an environment where you are expected to identify a problem, build a solution, and then document the process for the broader team to follow. You think quickly and act quicker.

Bonus

  • Experience working directly with USPS, FedEx, and/or UPS preferred.
