Job Summary

The Vice President of Fundraising leads the development of fundraising strategies that drive measurable growth for nonprofit clients. This role is responsible for guiding donor acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies while ensuring fundraising initiatives align with client goals and industry best practices.

The VP of Fundraising collaborates closely with analytics, creative, and client services teams to develop integrated campaigns that maximize fundraising performance and strengthen donor relationships.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor fundraising strategy staff.

  • Provide strategic oversight for client fundraising initiatives.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management for fundraising team members.

  • Establish strategic frameworks and best practices for donor engagement campaigns.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of fundraising strategies across client campaigns.

  • Guide donor acquisition, retention, and lifecycle strategies.

  • Partner with analytics teams to evaluate campaign performance and optimize results.

  • Collaborate with creative and production teams to align messaging and campaign execution.

  • Provide strategic guidance during campaign planning and client presentations.

  • Monitor fundraising trends and industry best practices.

  • Identify opportunities to expand fundraising impact for nonprofit partners.

  • Support business development efforts when needed.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable campaign strategies.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement strategy, or fundraising consulting.

  • Experience leading large-scale fundraising campaigns preferred.

  • Agency or consulting experience supporting nonprofit organizations is a plus.

  • This is primarily a remote position requiring the ability to work from a home office or remote location with reliable internet and phone service.

  • Must be able to sit or stand at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.

  • Ability to participate in virtual meetings, requiring clear communication and active listening.

  • Occasional travel for team meetings, client engagements, or company events may be required depending on the role.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a digital environment requiring prioritization and time management.

Work Location & Travel

This role is remote-friendly. Candidates located near one of our office hubs may be asked to work on a hybrid schedule. Employees outside of these areas may occasionally travel for team meetings, training sessions, or company events.
