Role Description
Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Group. This role focuses on third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters on behalf of insurer clients.
- Handle third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters from inception through resolution
- Draft coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters
- Represent insurers in coverage litigation and related bad faith proceedings
- Analyze complex factual and legal issues and develop strategic recommendations
- Collaborate with experienced attorneys while taking ownership of assigned matters
Qualifications
- Active Florida law license in good standing
- At least 2 years of experience in third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters
- Experience drafting coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters
- Strong litigation skills, including motion practice and discovery
- Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines efficiently
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality work product
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Federal court experience preferred
