Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field OR equivalent combination of education and technical experience
- 3+ years of hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating complex analytical instrumentation such as SEM, TEM, FIB, or similar systems.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing ultra-high vacuum systems and high voltage equipment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to travel up to 75% within assigned territory.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in laboratory environments.
- Proficiency in English required, additional languages beneficial.
- Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues to the component level.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, electrical schematics, and system diagrams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management software.
- Ability to effectively train customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Demonstrated success achieving customer satisfaction goals.

The Field Service Engineer will represent the company by delivering technical support, installation, and maintenance for plasma etch and deposition systems, requiring hands-on problem-solving and collaboration across teams. Key duties include leading system installation, executing maintenance, providing customer training, resolving complex hardware/software issues, and performing system calibrations and upgrades.
The primary focus is handling General Aviation claims from initial loss notification through to final conclusion, which involves receiving, reviewing, and managing losses while liaising with various stakeholders. Key activities include conducting site visits to investigate claims, producing written reports detailing the scope of damage, and negotiating equitable resolutions.

This role involves performing diagnostics and repairs on various truck systems, managing parts inventory, and documenting all work accurately using company applications.
