Job Description

ABOUT MINDWALK

MindWalk (NASDAQ: HYFT) is a Bio-Native AI company transforming drug discovery and development. Powered by its patented HYFT® technology and LensAI™ platform, MindWalk unifies sequence, structure, function, and literature into a single computational language, closing the loop with a fully integrated advanced laboratory for antibody discovery.

Originally founded in 1989 as ImmunoPrecise Antibodies, MindWalk has evolved into a global bio intelligence ecosystem headquartered in Austin, TX, with offices across the US, Canada, and Europe. As the company accelerates its commercial expansion on the West Coast, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead growth efforts across the San Francisco Bay Area and broader West Coast biopharma ecosystem.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Business Development will be the primary commercial driver for MindWalk on the West Coast, owning the full business development lifecycle from prospecting and pipeline development to deal structuring and partnership activation. This individual will serve as the face of MindWalk’s LensAI™ and antibody discovery platforms to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic institutions across the region.

Partnership & Deal Execution

  • Lead deal negotiations including custom antibody discovery, in silico analytics services, SaaS platform access agreements, and service contracts.
  • Partner cross-functionally between biologics and in silico business units to structure and close deals that meet both client and company objectives.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts, ensuring high satisfaction, repeat engagement, and expanded scope of work.

Market Presence & Thought Leadership

  • Represent MindWalk at key West Coast and national/global conferences, industry forums, and biopharma events.
  • Build deep relationships within the San Francisco Bay Area biopharma ecosystem, including VCs, incubators, and research institutions.
  • Communicate MindWalk’s scientific differentiation including HYFT® technology, LensAI™ platform, and integrated advanced lab capabilities to both scientific and executive audiences.

Reporting & CRM Excellence

  • Maintain rigorous pipeline tracking and reporting using CRM tools; provide regular updates to CBO and senior leadership.
  • Contribute to commercial, marketing, and product management strategies and execution.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Based salary range: $150,000 - $170,000 USD per year, with the final offer determined based on experience and qualifications
  • Annual performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Remote work model based in the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Opportunity to shape the commercial growth of a NASDAQ-listed, AI-native biotech at an inflection point
  • Collaborative, science-first culture with global reach across the US, Canada, and Europe

Requirements

  • 8+ years of business development, partnerships, or sales experience in life sciences, biotech, biopharma, or AI/data platforms serving those sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record of closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Deep familiarity with the biologics discovery space: antibodies, therapeutics, vaccines, or adjacent areas.
  • Strong existing network within the San Francisco Bay Area and broader West Coast biopharma ecosystem.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • BS/BA in a life sciences, biomedical, or related scientific field required.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MBA, or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience selling or partnering around custom antibody discovery and/or computational biology tools in drug discovery.
  • Existing relationships at major Bay Area biopharma companies.
