Job Description
Canopy Connect is building the infrastructure that powers best-in-class insurance experiences. We empower consumers to gain value and convenience from their own data, and we enable businesses to securely and quickly support their customers.
As a Product Marketing Manager on our growing team, you will be the key link between our product’s technical features and our customers’ business needs. Your primary focus is to own the product marketing workstream—building out messaging frameworks, launch plans, product positioning, and the creation of sales enablement tools that turn complex technical features into compelling value propositions
This is a highly collaborative role where you will work at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure we are launching the right products to the right people with the right message. This role is ideal for a product marketer who is ready to own projects end-to-end, establish new templates for the team, and contribute to cross-functional campaigns with general guidance.
You will work closely with and report directly to the Vice President, Marketing.
This is an opportunity to get in early with a well-capitalized startup.
About you
You are a proactive communicator who can translate technical “how” into business “whys.” You don’t just wait for a brief; you partner with your peers to figure out what’s needed. You’re comfortable taking a new feature and building a campaign around it from scratch, establishing the frameworks that the rest of the team will use.
Specifically, you’ll need to have demonstrated competency in:
- Product Messaging: translating features into benefits.
- Sales Enablement: building presentations, one-pagers, and talk tracks.
- Campaign Execution: building out new campaigns that haven't been done before.
- Market Research: conducting competitive audits and customer interviews.
- Project Management: owning your workstream and those that impact it to move projects to completion.
- Hubspot & Webflow: creating and updating website pages, workflows, and campaigns.
- AI Prompt Engineering: using AI as a thought partner and to multiply the speed and quality of your research and output.
Your responsibilities
- Positioning and Messaging: Develop clear, concise, and differentiated messaging for our products and features that resonates with our various personas.
- Cross-functional Partnership: Partner with peers in Product and Sales to identify what materials are needed for upcoming launches and feature updates.
- Framework Development: Establish new templates and frameworks for how we communicate product value (e.g., creating the first "standard" sales deck or feature release email template).
- Launch Execution: Support the Go-To-Market (GTM) process by building out campaign assets for new products and features.
- Sales Enablement: Create and maintain the library of sales collateral, ensuring our sales team has the most up-to-date talk tracks and one-pagers.
- Website & Content Support: Update product pages on the website, create emails, and work with the senior content marketing manager to ensure our blog and social channels reflect the latest product value props.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular research on competitors and provide the team with "battle cards" or summary reports on how we differentiate.
- Workstream Ownership: Take general direction from the Marketing Lead to execute product marketing initiatives from start to finish.
- Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: We are a small team and we are all expected to contribute across the company as needed. We’re helpful and lend our knowledge, skills, ability, and labor for the greater good.
Please note that we are only accepting candidates who are authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
The expected salary range for this position is: $130,000 to $140,000 USD.
Our Benefits
- Healthcare: We offer company-sponsored health, dental and vision insurance for employees and dependents.
- Equity: We are a team of owners and we provide our team with generous equity grants.
- Time to Recharge: We offer unlimited paid time off. Unplug, recharge, and come back refreshed.
- Remote Friendly: We are a fully distributed team. We all work remotely. We offer a $1,000 stipend to equip you with a home office that is comfortable and personalized to your needs.
- Friday Reimbursed Lunch: Order lunch on Fridays, and we'll cover it!
- 401K: We offer a 3.5% match.
Our Core Values
- Be Worthy of Trust | We are building critical infrastructure that processes sensitive data. We earn trust every day by being transparent, honest and clear to all stakeholders.
- Find a Way | We seize opportunities and iterate quickly. We refuse to get blocked. We are relentlessly optimistic about possibilities. Tenacious and creative, we find a way.
- Own It | We are owners of the product and the company, and we own our successes as well as our failures. We value people who embody extreme ownership.
- Think “We” Not “I” | We prioritize the success of the team over individual contributions. The best decisions are made through triangulating the opinions of the team. Productive disagreement leads to good decisions. We don’t tolerate brilliant jerks.
- Raise the Bar | Our standard is to be the best in the world at what we do. We redefine excellence each day.
To protect the interests of all parties, Canopy Connect will not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than directly from a candidate.
