Job Description
Role Description
Temp-to-Hire Controller for private equity backed behavioral healthcare company:
-
Ability to be hands-on by performing job tasks for a small accounting operation, including:
- Reviewing invoices and making payments in Ramp
- Completing journal entries in Intacct (including revenue and payroll)
- Preparing account reconciliations
- Monitoring the balances in the cash accounts, including completing the weekly cash forecasting report.
- Preparing weekly productivity reports for providers.
- Reviewing accounts receivable and monitoring future collections.

Monthly reporting to the executive team, including:
- P&L
- Cash Flow
- Budget vs Variance Analysis
- Provider Margin Reporting
- Compensation Matrix, including maintenance of the reports
- Development of KPI's with the executive team.
- Oversight of Treasury function, including responding to overdrafts, return payments, etc.
- Lead the annual audit function, including completion of workpapers.
- Review of tax return, including providing supporting documentation and answering questions for preparers.
- Completion of annual budget and forecasting models.
- Calculation of bi-monthly provider compensation payouts.
- Complete slides for board presentations.
- Create and maintain policies and procedures.
- Filings and paperwork relating to insurance/license renewals.
- Supervision of the staff accountant (1 employee).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA (active license) highly preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including five years of controller-level experience
- Experience with Intacct required, preferably including month-end close activities within the past five years
- Experience working with Ramp is preferred
- Experience working with Access is preferred
Requirements
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must have excellent communication skills with direct reports, supervisors, and other company stakeholders.
- Must meet deadlines set by the Partner/PE Firm and communicate the reason for any delays in timing.
