Role Description
The Associate Hearing Representative will be primarily responsible for the analysis, management, and resolution of lien cases. This position will work closely with the Claims Management and medical bill review teams to ensure the efficient and cost-effective resolution of liens.
- Attend lien hearings and negotiate resolution of provider liens in an assigned caseload of workers’ compensation claims.
- Present settlement documents before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) for approval.
- Defend AmTrust’s position at lien trial if appropriate.
- Experience with Petition for Dismissals and Contribution is also a plus.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience handling workers’ compensation lien hearings, preferably before the California WCAB.
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel.
- Excellent writing skills - including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Exceptional telephone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and within deadlines.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and organized, with superior organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
- Demonstrate self-starter capabilities and prioritize important tasks and deadlines from a voluminous case load.
- Ability to work remotely and regularly travel to various hearings and meetings as required.

- The expected salary range for this role is $70,300-$108,000.
