Role Description

This role is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing the successful launch and successful adoption of several new tools to be used by a large set of cross-functional, technically minded employees. Responsible for establishing/building, tracking, maintaining and proactively fixing/improving relevant systems, process flows, dashboards, reports, end user instructions, training and adoption efforts, project communications, and the budget/forecast, to communicate and optimize project success. This position is remote.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation.
  • Manages multiple projects and programs and orchestrates the results to achieve a broad program goal.
  • Aligns project delivery with broader strategic initiatives and goals.
  • Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures.
  • Ensure that governance controls are in place.
  • Develops project plan and drives project milestones.
  • Coaches project owners on gathering and writing initial requirements.
  • Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders.
  • Provides day-to-day direction to project resources.
  • Identify, track and report program KPIs to assess impact.
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor workflow of the cross-functional teams.
  • Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project artifacts and deliverables.
  • Facilitate and lead project meetings and discussions with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Create appropriate documentation to communicate program status/risks/needs.
  • Develops and delivers training sessions on process for moving tickets through development cycle.
  • Consistently exercise informed judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Maintains project intake queue for reviewing project requirements and determining impacted development teams.
  • Utilizes multiple data sets to provide meaningful analyses on enterprise efficiency and impact of initiatives.
  • Transforms raw data by cleaning, joining, aggregating and implementing business logic.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of project and/or program management expertise.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience building project budgets/forecasts and KPIs, and analyzing processes to identify areas of optimization and improvement.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience with training delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of project and program management methodology and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of various software development methodologies, especially basic SDLC.
  • Ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder, and management skills, coupled with ability to individually contribute all duties and responsibilities outlined here.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with ability to build project assets.
  • Excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable facilitating large meetings and driving agendas.
  • Proven experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Visio, JQL, etc.
  • Ability to analyze multiple data sets to provide operational insights to leadership.
  • Intermediate data transformation with Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or SQL.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytics and reporting skills.
  • Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
  • Ability to process information quickly and present it in a succinct and insightful format suitable for executives.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Business, IT, Computer Science, or Finance.
  • PMP certification is helpful.

Compensation

Sand Cherry Associates based in Denver, CO is required by state law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement, with a yearly salary range of $100,000 - $120,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
