Location: United States - east coast time zone (Remote with domestic & international travel)

We’re looking for a highly skilled, hands-on, and collaborative Project Director - Event Services to join our growing team, you will be a expert in large scale conference and exhibition delivery and a strong logistics and venue lead. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on leading large-scale, complex events, loves solving problems under pressure, and is passionate about delivering exceptional client and attendee experiences.
What you'll be doing
As Project Director, you’ll be accountable for the development and end-to-end delivery of some of our biggest events (5,000 – 13,000 attendees) with a focus on logistics and venue management. You’ll work closely with the Account Director and project teams to ensure every element is delivered flawlessly, on budget, and in line with client objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning, project management, and onsite delivery of complex, large-scale events.
- Acting as the day-to-day contact for clients, building trusted relationships, and ensuring exceptional service.
- Managing budgets of up to £15million, including forecasting, reporting, and driving value for money.
- Overseeing logistics, production, creative, and technical workstreams to ensure a seamless experience.
- Managing and mentoring project teams of 50+ people, ensuring clear ownership of tasks and accountability.
- Developing project documentation such as setback schedules, trackers, and client handbooks.
- Managing vendor relationships and ensuring a solution-oriented, one-team approach.
- Leading onsite teams, solving problems in real time, and ensuring the highest standards of delivery.
- Running post-project debriefs and making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
What you will bring
We’re looking for a proactive, highly organized leader who can stay calm under pressure and deliver extraordinary results.
You should have:
- 8+ years of experience managing complex events at a senior level (5,000–13,000 attendees).
- Proven large scale events logistics and venue management for conferences and expos.
- Event agency experience.
- Strong background managing large budgets ($10M–$15M) and ensuring financial accountability.
- Proven ability to motivate, mentor, and lead large teams to deliver best-in-class work.
- Experience collaborating with creative and production teams on large-scale build projects.
- Exceptional client-facing skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and communicate solutions clearly.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint and general IT proficiency.
- A can-do mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple priorities at pace.

Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000
Compensation is determined on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience, along with its relationship to the base salaries of current team members that are similarly situated.
