Job Description

• Work alongside managing editors to learn how professional newsletters and publications are created with no less than a 50% focus on neuroscience and related topics • Work with neuroscientist experts and psychologists on staff, create a list of all of the cutting edge neuroscience research we should cover in the next year • Pitch ideas for cover • Develop writing and editing skills through guided projects • Assist with research, fact-checking, and content development for neuroscience and psychology-related articles • Gain exposure to how neuroscience and psychology topics are communicated to professional audiences • Participate in editorial meetings and learn the behind-the-scenes work of content creation • Receive mentorship and feedback from experienced communications professionals

Job Requirements

  • Current undergraduate college student
  • Strong writing ability
  • Curiosity about neuroscience, psychology, including but not limited to clinical psychology, research, public interest psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Willingness to learn and receive feedback
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in an online office environment (all work will be online)
  • Bonus: experience writing for your school newspaper, website, or other publications.
  • Available for roughly 30 hours per week for 8 weeks in June and July.
