Where You will Work: Remote role open to candidates residing in Washington (WA) or Oregon (OR). (Branches)
Pay Range: The target annual pay range for this position is $147,048 - $167,100. The full annual pay range is $133,680 - $200,520.
- Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer of employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.
Job Overview:
This position leads the People Operations shared‑services function, ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant delivery of core People & Culture processes and employee support. This role is accountable for payroll, HRIS data integrity, benefits and leave administration, and the overall People & Culture service experience for employees and managers.
What You’ll Do:
- Leads People Operations team (payroll/HR generalists, benefits specialist, HR coordinator) to deliver consistent, high‑quality People & Culture services.
- Owns end‑to‑end execution of core People & Culture processes, including payroll, HRIS data integrity, onboarding/offboarding logistics, and employment changes.
- Oversees day‑to‑day benefits and leave administration, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing.
- Operates and improves the People & Culture “front door” (shared inbox), setting and monitoring clear service‑level expectations for employees and managers.
- Designs, documents, and continuously improves standard People & Culture processes, forms, and knowledge resources to enable self‑service and reduce manual rework.
- Embeds compliance and control requirements into People Operations workflows in partnership with Legal, Finance, and audit (documentation, checks, reporting).
- Partners closely with the Total Rewards Center of Excellence to operationalize compensation, benefits, and recognition programs and annual cycles.
- Collaborates with People Business Partners and the Director of Talent Experience to ensure seamless handoffs between strategic work and operational execution.
- Uses metrics (e.g., cycle times, error rates, satisfaction data) to monitor performance and drive process simplification and automation.
- Manages vendor relationships related to People & Culture systems, payroll, and benefits from an operational perspective.
- Serves as primary escalation point for complex operational issues and employee or manager service concerns.
- Coaches and develops People Operations team members, building a culture of service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- All other duties as assigned.
When You'll Be Working: Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive HR experience with significant hands-on responsibility for HR operations, including payroll, HRIS, and benefits and leave administration.
- Proven experience leading and developing a small, multi-disciplinary HR operations or shared-services team.
- Strong technical execution skills and comfort operating in a lean, process-improvement-focuses environment are essential.
- Bachelor's Degree of Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field of study.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Masters Degree in MBA, Human Resources Management, Leadership, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field.

- Strong vendor management skills, particularly with payroll and HRIS.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage high volumes and competing deadlines.
- Clear, service‑oriented communication skills for working with employees, managers, and cross‑functional partners.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with HRBPs, Total Rewards, Finance, Legal, and IT.
- High degree of discretion and judgment in handling sensitive employee and organizational information.
Total Rewards:
This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.
- Includes an option for Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to be paid at a 100% by company for the employee only coverage.
- We also offer Health Care FSA (HCFSA), Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions, and Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA).
- Employees also have access to Life and AD&D insurance.
- Employees are able to enroll in our 401k plan.
- Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis.
- Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of volunteer time.
All benefits except 401k start the first of the month following date of hire. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
