Accountant, II – Financial Reporting (Fixed-Term, 8 Months)
We are seeking a highly motivated professional for an 8-month fixed-term role to provide support in Senior Accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, including internal reporting and financial statement preparation.
Ideal candidates will have experience in government accounting, nonprofit gift accounting, and indirect rate reporting, and will contribute to a range of financial reporting and compliance activities based on business needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workflow efficiently

Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy

Skilled in researching issues and performing troubleshooting as needed

Experience in nonprofit accounting strongly preferred

Familiarity with charitable giving accounting rules a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills and experience handling large data sets

Experience with Workday ERP a plus
Education Requirement:
BA/BS degree
CPA a plus
Experience: Minimum 3-year financial experience.
Location: Santa Monica, CA, Pittsburgh, PA; Washington, DC; Boston, MA with flexibility for fully remote work. Candidates outside the headquarters area are encouraged to apply.
Salary Range: $75,700 - $112,400
RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate’s work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity.
The salary range includes base pay plus RAND’s sabbatic pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken). In addition, RAND provides strong benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid time-off and more.
