Job Description
Role Description
Responsible for field service repairs and installation of water treatment equipment. Provide technical phone support on water system components to customers.
- Perform field service repairs, emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, and installation of ultrapure water treatment equipment.
- Local or national travel up to 80-90% of the time, depending on territory and customer needs.
- When field service is not required, provide technical phone support on water system components to customers.
- Provide responsive, efficient, and professional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Follow all safety and ergonomic programs and guidelines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Associate or technical trade school preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working in ultrapure or industrial water treatment industry.
- Hands-on experience with components that make up a water system such as pretreatment (water softeners, carbon filters), reverse osmosis, distribution pumps, and deionization.
Requirements
- Knowledge of water quality standards such as AAMI, USP, ASTM, ISO.
- Knowledge of plumbing, pumps, valves, controls, and instrumentation (PLC, HMI).
- Working knowledge of system disinfection processes (chemical, heat, ozone).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, piping, and electrical schematic drawings.
- Mechanical skills with use of hand and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP systems.
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and acceptable automobile insurance coverage.
- Industry certifications (WQA, AAMI) preferred.
- Reliable transportation to customer locations.
