Role Description
We are expanding our Solutions Engineering team. We're always looking for top Engineers to join our winning team. This team works closely with innovative federal organizations interested in leveraging BigID’s platform. You will use your knowledge to influence customer decisions, provide insightful solutions, and drive successful outcomes. With your potent technical capabilities, critical and creative thinking, and passion for fast-paced problem-solving, be ready to hit the ground running.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for the BigID platform during the implementation and deployment phase for federal customers.
- Consult on best practices, solution architecture, and design to ensure successful deployment and adoption of the BigID platform.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and services/offerings.
- Drive outcomes with real-world knowledge and recommendations.
- Develop a trusted advisory role with customers, communicating upcoming product changes, enhancements, and serving as an internal voice of the customer.
- Collaborate internally to ensure every customer realizes the value of the BigID Platform through successful implementation.
Qualifications
- Interpersonal communication, customer relationship, executive presentation skills.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Demonstrated ability to address customer needs and provide best practices.
- Strong background in Big Data, AI, privacy, data governance, or information security.
- Good troubleshooting abilities and a methodical approach.
- Ability to describe complex technical concepts to diverse audiences: executives, business stakeholders, and technology practitioners.
- Broad understanding of enterprise data architecture, privacy, and security technologies.
- A proven track record of learning new technologies at high speed and a passion for diving deep into the "how" and "why" to solve intricate technical puzzles.
- Desire to share knowledge through excellent documentation creation and RFI/RFP responses.
- Some prior experience with one or more of the following: RDBMS systems, no-SQL data stores (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB), Hadoop technologies (such HDFS, Hive, HBase), cloud technologies (AWS EMR, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, Azure file and blob storage, etc.).
- Prior experience with Identity and Access Management or Data Loss Prevention tools is a plus.
- Proficient in Linux and container framework (Docker and Kubernetes).
- Minimum of 3 years in a pre-sales or technical consulting role within a multinational environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline (master’s degree a plus).
