Job Description
• Own and evolve the product portfolio strategy across multiple products and value streams, ensuring alignment to company vision, client needs, and revenue/profitability goals.
• Translate strategic bets into roadmaps, defining themes, epics, and major initiatives that balance platform investments with near-term business outcomes.
• Lead and develop a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career growth for a high-performing product organization.
• Drive portfolio-level prioritization and investment decisions, making clear trade-offs across products, markets, and segments based on data, risk, and strategic impact.
• Champion customer-centric, discovery-driven product practices, ensuring teams validate problems and solutions with customers and the field before scaling.
• Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Agile leadership to align Program Increment objectives, manage dependencies, and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery at scale.
• Define and track portfolio KPIs and use insights to adjust strategy, roadmap, and investment.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Client Services to shape go-to-market strategies, launch plans, and enablement that drive adoption, expansion, and renewals.
• Serve as the executive-facing voice of the product portfolio, regularly presenting vision, roadmap, performance, and trade-off recommendations to senior leadership and key clients.
• Establish and continuously improve product management processes and standards, including roadmap practices, backlog management, discovery methods, and success measurement.
• Ensure effective use of Jira and related tooling to provide transparent portfolio views of progress, risks, and outcomes across teams and initiatives.
• Identify and deploy AI-driven tools and workflows that improve product discovery, analysis, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
• Lead market and competitive assessments to anticipate trends, identify new opportunities, and guide build/partner/buy decisions across the portfolio.
• Ensure products meet high bars for usability, reliability, and quality, partnering with UX, Engineering, and Operations to uphold excellence and compliance standards.
• Drive change leadership across the organization, influencing stakeholders, aligning cross-functional teams, and building buy-in for product and portfolio direction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or related field
- 7+ years of product management experience in SaaS, digital platforms, or enterprise software, owning product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with SaaS platforms, including complex, multi-tenant or enterprise-grade products.
- At least 5 years of experience directly managing multiple Product Managers and/or Product Owners, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Proven track record leading portfolio-level prioritization and investment decisions across multiple products, programs, or value streams.
- Strong experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to shape product vision and roadmap.
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute go-to-market strategies with Sales, Marketing, and Client Services, driving adoption and revenue growth.
- Extensive experience working in agile and SAFe (or similar agile-at-scale frameworks), partnering closely with Engineering and Architecture.
- Proficiency with Jira and related product management tools for backlog, roadmap, and portfolio management.
- Experience identifying, evaluating, and deploying AI-driven tools or workflows to improve discovery, analysis, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional leadership presence and communication skills, with a strong track record influencing executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing product teams and elevating product management practices across an organization.
- Ability to balance near-term deliverables with long-term strategic platform investments, making clear trade-offs under constraints.
