Job Description

• Work closely with customers, Delivery Manager and Project Manager to define customer requirements • Develop technical proposals and set expectations for software implementations/upgrades and interface projects • Lead technical delivery as an individual contributor on engagements • Contribute to software implementation, power application tuning, troubleshooting, customization, and integration into customer systems • Act as an SME for the organization, mentoring project teams • Work with Delivery Manager to establish Project Execution control and manage project team • Communicate effectively with Project Manager, Delivery Manager, customers, and project teams on project and technical items • Trigger and validate engineering Gate Reviews within GEV and the customer • Lead the Technical Engineering Team to design, deploy, configure, tuning and testing of GEV transmission and distribution solutions • Collaborate with Service Engineering during development cycle to ensure deliverables meet defined needs and standards on time and budget • Respond to client inquiries and bugs for in-flight projects

Job Requirements

Bachelor's or Master degree in Electrical Engineering of Power System or related Engineering Discipline from an accredited university or college
5+ years relevant work experience in the electricity industry
Strong analysis skills including requirements elicitation and management skills
Knowledge of automating processes and utilizing or building scripting solutions to support product solution
Familiarity with emerging energy industry trends and implications on utility clients in the area of DER management, Transmission, Wide area monitoring (WAMS), distribution planning, IT, SCADA and asset management
Familiar with Power Application of Transmission and Distribution
Familiar to configure, setup, modeling Power Application simulator
DevOps hands-on experience
Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and deployment activities (Azure and/or GCP)
Utility integration experience (e.g. SCADA, ADMS, OT, OMS, WAMS, DERMS, etc.)
Programming experience in software development with Microsoft Visual Studio / Development tools, Eclipse, C#, and C++ programming
Experience in software analysis, design, quality assurance, architecture, and Agile development methodology
Familiar with project testing such as Factory acceptance test (FAT), Site acceptance test (SAT) and user acceptance test (UAT)
Familiar with web and other technologies such as HTML5, Javascript, CSS, and JQuery, Perl script, Python, strawberry Perl, RDBMS system such as oracle, MS-SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Power BI reporting, Tableau, crystal reports.
