Job Description
• Act as the primary authority for data integrity, ensuring reliable, accurate, and up-to-date information for decision-making across departments.
• Develop and implement predictive models using AI and machine learning to forecast trends, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks that inform business planning, sales forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
• Leverage AI tools and platforms to enhance data analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and uncover deeper insights, improving efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
• Create compelling, audience-tailored data visualizations and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and AI-enhanced visualization tools (e.g. Domo, Tableau, or Power BI) to communicate insights to stakeholders, including the board, leadership team, and cross-functional partners.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to align data-driven and AI-enhanced insights with business objectives, demonstrating a deep understanding of LRN’s business model and strategic goals to drive efficiency and growth. Such insights will lead to improvements in forecasting sales, customer retention and more.
• Identify and implement improvements in data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, utilizing AI to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• Deeply analyze business operations, client needs, and market trends to provide actionable recommendations that align with LRN’s mission and growth objectives in the ethics and compliance space.
• Support potential M&A activities to ensure data-driven decision-making about the target’s business.
• Understand how to extract, clean, and analyze data from various platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
Job Requirements
- A proactive, analytical thinker with a passion for transforming data into actionable insights using AI, a strong understanding of LRN’s business model, and the ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- 10+ years of experience in business intelligence and data area with a B2B SaaS or technology-driven company, with hands-on experience using AI and other tools for analytics and supporting sales and retention processes, as well as customer analysis. The successful candidate may have worked in related roles (e.g., Sales Finance or FP&A) that leveraged data significantly.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (eg Domo, Tableau, or Power BI); experience with AI platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, or similar) and familiarity with CRM and marketing platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) is required.
- Knowledge of SaaS Businesses and the Recurring Revenue Model: In-depth understanding of SaaS metrics in a B2B environment (e.g., ARR, MRR, churn, LTV) and their impact on business strategy, coupled with the ability to translate data insights into business outcomes.
- Strong Experience in developing predictive models, conducting data analysis, creating data visualizations for diverse audiences, including senior leadership, with a focus on AI-driven insights, and performing financial and operational forecasting and analysis. The successful candidate will have significant experience in working with Sales and Customer Success to forecast future results, as well as to understand the customer base, retention drivers, related profitability and more.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze B2B SaaS business operations, including customer acquisition, retention strategies, and market positioning.
- Ability to distill complex data and insights into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences, with a focus on aligning insights with business objectives.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and clear alignment with business goals.
