Job Description

• The FinOps Consultant is responsible for the development and delivery of FinOps services to SHI customers. • This is a customer-facing role. • Typical responsibilities for the FinOps consultant include development of models for FinOps analysis and reporting, data analysis and recommendations, enablement, and presales engagements. • Daily activities include: assisting customers with FinOps strategies, use of FinOps platforms, use of cloud native tooling, building complex analysis and reporting in Excel, implementing automation, project management, technical and financial analysis, customer and internal meetings, and mentoring and assisting teammates.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computing, finance, data analytics, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 1-year Professional FinOps experience
  • 1 year of technical, financial, data analytic, or technical presales experience with increasing responsibility
  • 2 years intensive experience using Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and report large data sets
  • Core understanding of Cloud and Hybrid infrastructure, best practices, governance, and automation.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Certifications: At least one of the following: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), and/or GCP Cloud Digital Leader
  • FinOps Practitioner certification or higher
  • Preferred Certifications: An Associate Level Certification or higher in AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred prior to hiring and required by day 90 as a requirement of role
