Job Description

• Freelance Senior Linguist collaborating on multiple accounts and programs for Welocalize. • Translate, localize, and adapt marketing and life sciences content (Investigator-facing, Patient-facing, Pharmacy, Help and UI). • Perform copy editing and linguistic QA to ensure high-quality localized content. • Work with CAT tools and translation platforms to manage and deliver projects. • Contribute to training data transformation for NLP (collecting, annotating, evaluating content) when required. • Collaborate with global teams across North America, Europe, and Asia to meet client needs.

Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in translating and copy editing content in Investigator-facing, Patient-facing and/or Pharmacy material, Marketing, Help and UI content.
Professional level understanding of English (US/GB).
Native level expertise of Afrikaans as Target Language with core understanding of cultural nuances.
Well versed with CAT tools (XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, Smartling, etc.).
Working knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel).
Desirable: Translation degree or, if other degree, 3 years of translation experience or, if no degree, 5 years of translation experience.
