Job Description

• Develops sales strategy and pipeline to sell Veregy professional services and subsidiaries’ offerings. • Builds and owns market strategies for obtaining and closing new business opportunities, including competitive analysis and vertical/horizontal market strategies. • Delivers a solid pipeline to meet or exceed sales revenue expectations annually. • Analyzes potential clients and project opportunities considering changing market conditions. • Works independently and with sales team to obtain new project opportunities. • Acts as single point of contact from initial sales cycle through handoffs to other staff. • Prepares presentations, accurate estimates, quality proposals, and fee estimates with technical and marketing support. • Utilizes Salesforce CRM and other tools to track and document sales opportunities. • Partners and collaborates with internal and external resources to meet planning, presentation, and sales deliverable timelines. • Provides customer support regarding projects, financing, and contracting issues. • Engages in market organizations and conferences to build brand awareness and business opportunities. • Travels to meet clients or prospective clients and participates in networking activities (up to 50% travel).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the duties/responsibilities of an account manager.
  • Must have a track record of a minimum $10M/year sales.
  • Knowledge of facility systems, large project sales processes, and funding alternatives.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, and estimates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to explain technical products.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of technical products to be sold.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to maintain and grow relationships with clients.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients.
  • Knowledge and experience in the ESCO industry (Energy Services).
  • Experience with State and Local Government Energy Sales.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and/or related software.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (local and some national travel).
