Job Description

• Lead agency relationships • Drive profitable commercial lines growth • Support underwriting strategies within an assigned territory • Train and support agencies on products and systems • Monitor results and recommend new agency appointments • Collaborate closely with underwriting, claims, and corporate teams • Evaluate agency performance • Implement growth and profitability plans • Underwrite mid-market new business • Conduct thorough evaluation of prospective agents • Develop annual agency/company marketing plans • Analyze territory profitability and premium growth

Job Requirements

  • Five or more years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Insurance designations preferred
  • Minimum of five years property/casualty commercial underwriting required
  • Minimum of three years’ marketing experience with a Property and Casualty carrier preferred
  • Agency or broker experience with heavy concentration in underwriting exposure/risk and marketing may substitute for carrier experience
  • Must have technical underwriting knowledge of commercial lines of business
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
