• Providing leadership, expertise and guidance related to the design and implementation of technical solutions that enable our business objectives. • Mentoring, coaching and advising more junior engineers and administrators on the organization’s best practices related to infrastructure. • Inform leadership on the skills needed within the team and recommendations to mature the practice. • Act as a thought leader using proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices, acting as a technical advisor, to guide in the planning and coordination of design and implementation of our mission-critical systems. • Act as a sounding board or peer review focal for deliverables produced by the team. • Develop a strategic technical vision that supports the organization’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). • Drive alignment and governance across the various domains (e.g. Business, Information, Technology, and Security). • Understand, advocate and support the enterprise's IT strategy along with assisting in the implementation and realization of the various IT roadmaps. • Analyze the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. • Analyze the technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the business and its IT infrastructure architecture. • Lead the evaluation and selection of technologies standards and help implement governance processes to ensure enterprise alignment. • Consult with architects and delivery teams, aligning infrastructure designs to the defined future state. • Advises leadership about industry best practices, trends, and technology, which would influence the IT strategy. • Effectively communicate using written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills.
