Job Description

About Lola Blankets

Lola Blankets is a fast-growing, design-driven brand creating the world’s most loved faux-fur blankets. With a devoted community, strong influencer presence, and rapid scale, we are redefining what comfort and style mean for the home. As we expand, we are looking for a Content Director to lead and elevate our creative output, ensuring every piece of content reflects the brand’s voice, quality, and vision.

Role Overview

The Content Director will serve as the bridge between our Cofounder & Creative Director and the broader creative team. This leader will manage day-to-day creative operations, ensuring projects are executed with excellence, aligned with brand vision, and delivered on time. They will oversee a team of designers, writers, videographers, and freelance creatives while maintaining a high bar for storytelling, aesthetics, and brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership

    • Hire, manage, mentor, and inspire the creative team (graphic designers, copywriters, UGC managers, video editors, freelancers).
    • Translate the Cofounder & Creative Director’s vision into actionable creative briefs, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.

  • Content

    • Oversee the production of all content across digital, paid, email, social, website, packaging, and brand campaigns.
    • Ensure consistent brand storytelling and aesthetics across all channels.
    • Maintain a feedback loop with the Cofounder & Creative Director to align execution with overall creative vision.

  • Project Management

    • Own creative calendars and workflows, balancing long-term brand projects with fast-moving campaign needs.
    • Prioritize projects, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
    • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, and operations to ensure creative support of business goals.

  • Quality Control

    • Maintain a high creative bar across all touchpoints.
    • Review and approve work before presentation to the Cofounder & Creative Director.
    • Protect and evolve Lola’s brand identity as the business scales.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in content, creative, or brand leadership roles, ideally in a consumer brand or DTC environment.
  • Proven track record managing and mentoring creative teams.
  • Strong eye for design, storytelling, and cultural trends.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Comfortable balancing creative vision with business needs and growth goals.
  • Hands-on creative experience (copy, design, or video) a strong plus.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is both a creative thinker and a disciplined manager. You love leading teams, making ideas executable, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. You thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and are excited to help build a brand that’s on its way to becoming a household name.

Compensation and Perks:

  • 10% annual bonus based on company and individual performance (bonus prorated to % of year employed with company)
  • 21 days paid vacation +  federal holidays (except parts of Thanksgiving 🙂)
  • Full health benefits
  • 16 weeks of paid birth parent leave available. 8 weeks non-birth parent leave
  • 55% off Lola Blankets for friends and family
  • Opportunities for career growth and leadership roles within Lola Blankets
