Role Description

This role involves managing the end-to-end flow of HUD-insured loans, ensuring files are complete, compliant, and moving smoothly through the pipeline.

  • Manage HUD loan files from application through closing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
  • Review and verify documentation including income, assets, and employment
  • Coordinate with underwriters, loan officers, brokers, and clients to resolve questions or missing information
  • Track deadlines and ensure files are submitted on schedule to meet closing dates
  • Maintain detailed records of loan status and prepare updates for team members and management
  • Ensure strict adherence to HUD guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and quality
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, best practices, and problem-solving ideas
  • Stay current on HUD guidelines, industry trends, and emerging practices that impact loan processing

Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience processing HUD-insured loans, specifically with expertise in either HUD LEAN (Section 232 Lean processing) or HUD MAP (Multifamily Accelerated Processing) programs
  • Demonstrated expertise in the healthcare sector (especially skilled nursing facilities/SNFs)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline of loans simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders clearly and professionally
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setting
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with high expectations for accuracy and timeliness
  • A team player mindset with a willingness to support colleagues and share best practices
