Role Description
ICF is seeking an Account Specialist, based in Oklahoma, to assist in the delivery of energy efficiency programs. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a pipeline of existing energy efficiency projects and recruiting new participants into the program.
- Call on customers and contractors in the utility client’s service territory to increase energy efficiency projects and participation in utility incentive programs.
- Recruit program participants and manage accounts.
- Develop and implement sales strategies.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations.
- Engage in relationship building activities.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance on energy efficient technologies and practices.
- Ensure projects are up to date in the program tracking system by communicating with customers and contractors.
- Conduct presentations and trainings to local stakeholder groups, contractors, and customers.
- Work as part of a team to ensure successful execution of energy efficiency projects.
- Provide contractor support and assistance services.
- Conduct surveys and inspections of energy efficiency projects.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of submitted projects for approval.
- Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel (50% to 70% of the time, mileage reimbursement provided).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy, Construction, Sciences, or related fields.
- 2+ years of utility, energy efficiency, or equivalent trade experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Energy Calculations, Trend Analysis, etc.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, lift 20 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as attic and crawl space inspections.
Requirements
- Economic analysis and familiarity with energy efficiency program implementation.
- Proven history of excellent attendance in the workplace.
- Experience with energy efficiency technologies and practices is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the existing network of distributors, contractors, and construction companies serving Oklahoma.
- Experience working on successful energy efficiency programs.
- Utility experience and understanding of Demand Side Management (DSM) program implementation.
- Experience with ENERGY STAR, LEED, and other program platforms.
- Experience performing energy audits and energy savings calculations.
Professional Skills
- Superior interpersonal skills and a cooperative attitude.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
